Approved by ASEM High Level Meeting and the Chinese Government, ASEM Forum & Exhibition on Tourism Investment and Cooperation will be held from October 19-22, 2006 in Yantai, P.R.China. The event aims at strengthening the relationship between Asia and Europe, promoting the increase of investment and trade for the co-prosperity and development among ASEM members through exchange and cooperation in tourism industry.

Background Information of ASEM
The Asia-Europe Meeting(ASEM)is an informal process of dialogue and cooperation initiated in 1996, launched under the situation that the world has been moving towards political multi-polarity, economic globalization and regional integration with the objective to build a new Asia-Europe partnership.
ASEM brings together 13 Asian countries, 25 European countries and the European Commission, a population of 2.1 billion, which is 39% of the world total, and 50% GDP, 62% export and 56% import of the world total in 2004.
